Nisargbhan -Consciousness about Nature

The Nisargbhan Lecture Series was launched on April 25, 2021, during the lockdown, when the world was at a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nisargbhan is a Marathi word which means ‘consciousness about nature’ is an effort to educate and inspire the public about biodiversity and environmental conservation in Marathi language. Recognizing the need for continued awareness during challenging times, this series has aimed to keep the spirit of conservation alive by reaching people in their homes.Online lectures and workshops are held monthly on Sundays at 11:00 am, using the Zoom platform and YouTube Live for easy accessibility.

Each session features a topic of environmental importance, ranging from biodiversity to conservation techniques and wildlife protection to sustainable living. The lectures are also recorded and made available on the Sahyadri Sankalp Society YouTube channel, creating a repository of valuable information that can be accessed by anyone, at any time.

The Nisargbhan Lecture Series has brought together a diverse array of renowned experts, scientists, and conservationists, each sharing their expertise and experiences with the audience.
